Indoor Short-Mat Bowling

The indoor short-mat bowling provides a bit of light exercise, good company and conversation - as well sustaining fine motor skills and general mobility. It is run from October-March in the village hall.

Complete beginners and players of all standards are welcome and so are spectators. It's great relaxation at the start of a working week.

The format for the games we play is a random pair against another random pair to kick off each evening, then these pairings are split and new pairings are made to include those who've been spectators during the last game.

All points scored by a pair are awarded to the individuals making up that pair. So the only way to get points for yourself is to help a potential rival get points too!
An individual's game point average over the entire season determines who the leader is (e.g., 10 points from 2 games gives a GPA of 5.00).

Each night, an individual is likely to get two or three games.

A very closely competitive, but very friendly atmosphere pertains (the format ensures that!).

Cost is only £1.50 per session and all equipment is provided.
